Major Activities:
- Conduction of Farmers Field School (FFS) based trainings on Integrated farming systems.
- Tracking potential farms for organic certification under participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS).
- Support farmers’ groups for value chain improvement on few selected products.
- Establishment of an informal market information system.
- Study and planning producer company which will provide backward and forward linkages to the farmers.
Objectives:
- To scale up the integrated farming system approach towards better farm planning ensuring diet diversity.
- To strengthen community institutions for better market access towards selling the produces produced in the integrated farms .
Outputs:
- SIFS farmers are capacitated for planning the farming activities.
- Farmers’ access to market improved through smooth operation of the existing market centers in the SIFS project sites.
